JR (Troupe Member) On a whim JR began taking cabaret lessons in 2007 with Vahana. She was awarded 2nd Place in the Novice Category in 2008 at the North Valley Bellydance Competition. Thanks to an active bellydance community in her area she was exposed to many different styles of bellydance including ATS, fusion and cabaret. JR has studied with Vahana, Cintia and Star. After studying the different styles JR decided she liked Fusion the best and was immediately drawn to the unique costuming and "gooey" movements.
